يفرز الحلزون مادة لزجة أثناء حركته لتساعده على الحركة وتسهل انزلاقه بأقل قدر من الاحتكاك. يحتوي هذا الجل على :
الكولاجين، حمض الجليكوجين، الايلاستين، الفيتامينات.
